Legal
The rules for using RealCam. Last updated: 7 October 2026.
These terms apply to RealCam: the RealCam Hub Windows app and its installer, the RealCam apps for iPhone and Android, the RealCam account service and this website. RealCam is published by Léo Laune, 1273 route du Chef-Lieu, 74360 Vacheresse, France ("we", "us").
By installing or using RealCam you accept these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
RealCam lets a phone drive the in-game camera of supported PC games through RealCam Hub on a Windows PC on the same local network. Which features work depends on the game and its version; RealCam Hub shows what is available for each game.
Your RealCam account is personal. Do not share your access, access code or private links. You are responsible for what happens with your account; tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.
While your access is active, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use RealCam for your own, non-commercial use. RealCam, its code, design, name and logo remain ours.
You may share videos and pictures you make with RealCam, including on social media and video platforms, as long as you respect the rights of the game publishers.
You agree not to:
RealCam is an independent product. It is not made, endorsed or supported by the publishers of the games it works with, or by Apple, Google, Microsoft or Patreon. Game names and trademarks belong to their owners.
RealCam works with your games by adding small companion files or settings that you can remove at any time. Game updates can stop a feature from working until RealCam is updated. You are responsible for following the rules of each game you use RealCam with, especially online.
Some versions (for example TestFlight builds or the Dev update channel) are tests. They can contain bugs, change, or stop working without notice. Use them knowing this.
The videos you record are yours. They are stored on your own devices; we do not receive them.
RealCam Hub updates itself. We may add, change or remove features, and support for a game can change with that game's updates. We may change these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and for important changes we will tell members on Patreon or in the apps. If you keep using RealCam after a change, the new terms apply.
RealCam is provided "as is". We work to keep it reliable but do not promise it will be free of errors, always available, or work with every game, PC or phone. This does not limit the legal guarantees you have as a consumer.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost game progress, lost data or problems caused by a game or another company's service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for RealCam through Patreon in the 12 months before the event. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for gross negligence, fraud or personal injury.
You can stop using RealCam at any time by uninstalling it and ending your Patreon membership. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms. Access also ends when your membership ends or your access code expires.
These terms are governed by French law. If you live in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country. Please contact us first so we can try to solve the problem. If you are a consumer in the EU, you can also use a consumer mediator; otherwise the competent French courts decide.
